British Iraqi singer-songwriter Safe Adam, was born and raised in Essex, London. Safe’s passion for music begun in his childhood where he taught himself to play the guitar and cajon drums. Naturally, this led Safe to pursue a career in the music industry after university, where he would go on to collaborate and write for mainstream artists including Ed Sheeran, N-Dubz and X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.
But it was during a life changing trip to Makkah, where Safe became inspired to combine his musical talent with his faith. Safe returned empowered, leaving the music industry behind to pursue faith inspired music.
Since this transition in 2014, Safe has gone on to become a household name amongst Muslims, selling over 80,000 copies of his debut album ‘Heart’. The album cemented Safe into the Islamic music industry and saw Safe as the very first nasheed artist to perform on BBC One.
Never an artist to stand still, Safe travelled across the globe to sought out world renowned musicians for his second album ‘Praise’, which debuted at Number 1 on the iTunes World Charts upon it’s release. The eagerly awaited second album, sees Safe take some new direction while staying true to his signature style. The album created a new world of nasheeds, that combined influences of traditional and contemporary music, creating a unique sound that has lit up the Islamic music industry and airwaves. Safe has performed sold out concerts in UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain, Morocco, Canada, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Ireland, South Africa, Norway, Sweden and USA, all the while raising over £10,000,000 for global charities.
